Breathnach welcomes €160K funding for the Laytown Family Resource Centre

– These centres offer fantastic support and help by providing a huge range of community services –

Fianna Fáil TD for Louth and East Meath Declan Breathnach welcomed the announcement of €160K in funding for the Laytown Family Resource Centre, which services the communities of Laytown, Bettystown, Mornington, Donacarney and the wider region.

“These centres are a fantastic support to families in the communities where they are located. They offer supports through a range of community services including family support work, counselling, education and training courses, and youth groups.”

“Minister Zappone said “Family Resource Centres are the very hub of the communities which they serve – I have seen this at first hand in every part of the country. They provide a huge range of services by working with people from cradle to the grave. They also support those going through a difficult period in their lives including bereavement, unemployment and addiction.” I am delighted that the Minister has recognised the great work of the Family Resource Centres and provided this extra funding”, said Breathnach.
