Fianna Fáil TD for Louth and East Meath Declan Breathnach has welcomed today’s announcement by the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural and Gaeltacht Affairs of funding of €245,869 for ten separate projects in County Louth under the CLÁR Programme.  Details are as follows:-

Funding Awarded under Measure 1 – Support for Schools/Community Safety Measures:-

  1. Scoil Naomh Bríde, Faughart – €5,400
  2. Muchgrange National School – €35.975
  3. Rathcor National School – €27,000
  4. Scoil Nasuinte Muire Jenkinstown – €12,000
  5. Bellurgan National School – €42,300
  6. Dulargy National School Ravensdale – €45,000
  7. Scoil Naomh Oliver Carlingford – €36,900

Funding under Measure 2 – Play Areas:-

  1. Scoil Nasiunta Bride – €11,500
  2. Mullaghbuoy National School – €9,000
  3. Cooley Complex Limited – €20,579

“Michael Ring T.D., Minister of State for Regional Economic Development at the Department of Arts, Heritage, Regional, Rural & Gaeltacht Affairs announced details of just under €5 million in funding for Safety Measures and Play Areas under the CLÁR Programme nationwide as part of the Government’s Action Plan for Rural Development, and I am delighted with the allocation for the ten projects in Co. Louth.”
